I am a university lecturer in the Department of Mathematics at Babeş-Bolyai University. My main area of research is Stochastic Analysis, with a particular focus on SPDEs and nonlinear filtering problems.
Previously, I was a research associate within the STUOD Project (2020-2024), a PhD student (2016-2020), and an MRes student (2015-2016) in the Department of Mathematics at Imperial College London. Between 2010-2015 I obtained my bachelor's degree and a master's degree in the Department of Mathematics at the University of Bucharest.

My research is focused primarily on the analytical study of nonlinear stochastic partial differential equations (SPDEs) which are used in life sciences (climate sciences, neuroscience).
-
I am strongly motivated by the challenge posed by randomness in multi-scale fluid dynamics and by the probabilistic descriptions that can be derived.
-
I am also interested in nonlinear filtering and high-dimensional data assimilation problems which involve SPDEs driven by different types of noise.
